Bret Egner is the co-founder of Pleasant Grove, an indie rock band that was one of the leading lights in the DFW scene when I was coming up, but now the band calls Austin home. Egner also has a wonderful folk/country side project under his own name, but most days you can find him tending bar at the Austin Motel. There, he shares his encyclopedic taste in music between serving drinks. And this week on My KUTX, he brings his music knowledge to the guest DJ chair.
