Because we so often tout ourselves as the Live Music Capital of the World, it can be easy to take our vibrant community of musicians for granted. And even when we do pay them their dues, many still overlook all the adjacent creatives and industry folks who help keep this collective dream alive. So we’ve got nothing but love for institutions that give back to the musical movers and shakers that make Austin what it is by providing resources that would otherwise be tough to procure. Yes, we’re talking about organizations like HAAM – The Health Alliance for Austin Musicians.
This year, HAAM presents the 20th annual HAAM Day, a free music festival happening Tuesday, September 23rd all across Austin’s city limits and well beyond. And to get a preview of what HAAM Day 2025 has to offer, HAAM Signature Events Coordinator Doug Leveton puts his trusty percussion gear in park to curate a soulful playlist highlighting some of the Austin talent from the upcoming fest lineup.
