My KUTX: JT Habersaat

A lot of punk rockers could be comedians (looking at you, Danzig), and given their penchant for pizza, beer, and truth-telling, a lot of comedians could be punk rockers. Austin’s JT Habersaat straddles both worlds. He’s led the Altercation Punk Comedy Tour since 2008, both as a performer and a curator. He frequently tours with punk bands, and he runs his own record label, Altercation Records. In August, Habersaat released Misanthrope, a one-hour comedy special.

Habersaat brings his Altercation Punk Comedy Tour to Sound On Sound Fest, playing on Sunday, November 6 at 3:05 p.m. on the Globe Stage. He also brings his incredible punk music knowledge to My KUTX this week, guest DJing an hour of his favorites and Sound On Sound Fest recommendations. Tune in Saturday, November 5 at 6 p.m. or listen anytime at the bottom of the page.
