When you learn about a certain singer’s specific sources of inspiration – both and lyrically and vocal production-wise – sometimes their whole style clicks for you as a listener for the first time. At least that’s happened with us after the session we had with our July 2026 Artist of the Month Quentin. Ahead of the TOMGIRL release show, 7PM at Factory on Friday, July 24th (presented by KUTX – with all proceeds benefitting the SIMS Foundation), Quentin stopped by to share a playlist of powerful memories and several pieces of inspiration for the upcoming LP.
Playlist:
- Radiohead – “Weird Fishes / Arpeggi”
- Turnover – “Cutting My Fingers Off”
- Slow Pulp – “New Horse”
- Nick Hakim – “Ani”
- Carole King – “It’s Too Late”
- Phoebe Bridgers – “Demi Moore”
- Adrianne Lenker – “not a lot, just forever”
