Our May 2023 Artist of the Month is an Austin treasure turned international superstar, no doubt. So although we don’t get to see her in the city limits as much as me might like, each time we do catch LP Giobbi in person it’s a real ray of sunshine. And LP spreads that love far and wide – not just through her ecstatic live DJ sets – but also through her organization Femme House, which builds opportunities for women, gender-expansive, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ creatives in the technical and behind the scenes areas of music.
Hot off her Rock the Park performance that attracted a record number of folks to Mueller, LP popped on by the KUTX studios with a great playlist that shows off her production style, formative influences, heavy rotation tunes, and more – all while letting her fader hand take a long-overdue break.
