On December 31, KUTX presents Cumbia New Years’ Eve at the Far Out Lounge. It’s a night celebrating all things cumbia, featuring two of Austin’s finest proponents of the genre, Grupo Fantasma and Superfónicos.
This week on My KUTX, Superfónicos bassist Nico Sanchez and singer Jaime Ospina return as our guest DJs. They play an hour of their favorite cumbia cuts, ranging from the genre’s Colombian roots to its connection with African music and beyond.
