Since first hearing Prince at age eight–which inspired him to self-produce and send a demo to Warner Brothers–Austin’s Terrany Johnson has been a music lifer. He’s a producer, artist advocate, and MC, better known to Austin audiences as Tee Double. He’s released over thirty albums, collaborating with both veteran and up-and-coming Austin MCs while also bringing national awareness to our city’s rap scene. This week on My KUTX, Tee Double waves the flag for Love Austin Music Month with a guest DJ set that reaches deep into Austin’s rap roots. Hear My KUTX on Saturday, February 9 at 6 p.m. or listen anytime at the bottom of the page.
