***My KUTX is made possible with support from imogene + willie***
Between an upbringing in the Chitlin’ Circuit, producing landmark Southern rap anthems, and evolving into the eponymous frontman of KUTX’s January 2017 Artist of the Month Tomar & the FCs, it’s safe to say that Tomar Williams is a damn trustworthy man in terms of musical authority. So as Tomar & the FCs gear up to celebrate 10 years together with the release of their next record Soul Searching and a show 9PM next Friday at Antone’s, Tomar takes us through a snapshot of Black History, that’s passionate, poetic, and empowering.
