For more than four decades now, Violent Femmes have maintained their status as America’s foremost folk punk project. And for twenty of those years, co-founders Brian Ritchie and Gordon Gano have kept good company with multi-instrumentalist Blaise Garza and percussionist John Sparrow.
Before a recent appearance at ACL Live at the Moody Theater, Garza and Sparrow stopped by KUTX to give us a glimpse at how they first linked up with the Femmes, their collaborations outside the Femmes, friends of the Femmes, and all around good stuff they’ve been digging into lately.
