Enjoy new music from SXSW-bound artists like The Dream Syndicate, Gustaf, Linqua Franqa, King Hannah, Horsegirl, Geese, Babehoven, Surfbort, MAITA, Just Mustard and many more.
Wednesday, March 16th
7am-11am: KUTX Live in 6A
The Studio 6A soundstage on the University of Texas at Austin campus was the birthplace of “Austin City Limits, and we’ll be broadcasting all morning from the legendary stage. Come join us and see performances from Sarah Kinsley, Mattiel, Cimafunk, and Geese.
Both events are open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Admission is $20 per person, per day – payable by cash or credit card – and includes a breakfast taco and coffee, thanks to Fresa’s Chicken al Carbon and Fara Coffee. Proceeds benefit the Central Texas Food Bank.
8pm: The Breaks Presents SXSBreaks – An Austin Hip Hop, R&B and Soul Showcase
Confucius Jones DJs followed by all Austin all night. Featuring performances from Nez Tha Villain, The Unemployed, EC Mayne, Skylar T, Arod, ImYoungin BeYou, David Shabani, Chakeeta B, Tribe Mafia, Magna Carda, Mike Melinoe. Because this is an official SXSW event, a badge is required for entry.
Friday, March 18th
2pm-6pm: SXSW Public Radio Day Stage in Ballroom A on the first floor of the convention center.
Joined by our sister stations across the country, we’ll be broadcasting live bands like Wet Leg, Yard Act, Sasami, and Seratones.
Saturday, March 19th

A family-friendly tribute to Schoolhouse Rock and Daniel Johnston, presented by KUTX’s Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child featuring: Kathy McCarty & Speeding Motorcycle, Jon Langford & Bill Anderson, SaulPaul, Parker Woodland, Strawbitty Yops, Andy Sprouts.

Join Jody and Austin American Statesman Music Writer, Deborah Sengupta Stith, along with SiriusXM Host and Producer, Rob Bleetstein Sunday morning as they spin music by artists featured at the Festival, artists they missed, music they’re currently enjoying or writing about and more!
