Not sure when Aaron Sinclair became a mainstay of the Austin music scene, but his commitment to crafting incredibly tight rock songs with the city’s best players has undoubtedly raised the bar for any new musician moving to the city. Originally moving to Austin to pursue an alt-country sound that fit in well with the city’s rich roots-rock history, Sinclair navigated the city’s evolving scene to arrive at his current sound, a stripped back, straight forward approach to rock ‘n’ roll full of dueling guitars and smart lyrics rich with double meanings. His latest single “Cars” expands on that winning recipe with full-on jams that allow bassist Brenden Bond, drummer Stijn Dobbelaere and guitarists Michael Booher and Jim Campo to stretch out and showcase their considerable individual talents.
A. Sinclair is teaming up with the City of Austin Economic Development Department and Visit Austin to present the Daybird Music Series. This first-year effort aims to promote and create live music experiences during earlier afternoon hours for visitors and locals alike. The series will feature 38 performances from local musicians at 5 of Austin’s premiere live music venues. All events will be presented from 1pm-5pm every Saturday in June and will be provided at no cost. Music patrons of all ages are encouraged to attend.
