Blood Pumps 3.21.17

Austin’s Blood Pumps just put out their very first EP America & Burgers, but singer/bassist Bill Stevenson, guitarists Mike Brinley and Joe Lewis, and drummer Jordan Cook have quite a bit of experience playing together. Together, they form the rhythym section of Black Joe Lewis and The Honeybears. While they may share members of the same band, Blood Pumps is fully the brainchild of singer Bill Stevenson, and in this incarnation, the group delivers bouncy Television-esque rock ‘n’ roll instead of the shouting punk-funk of Black Joe Lewis. Stevenson condenses the fun, changing melodies of prog-rock into delightful uptempo numbers that bubble with energy.
