Bully 12.8.17

Nashville indie-rockers Bully are bursting through the musical playground with a sound that is fun, catchy and profound. The group is fronted by singer-songwriter-guitarist Alicia Bognanno, who grew up in Minnesota and first got into music in high school after discovering a natural talent for audio-mixing. After graduating from MTSU and landing an internship with audio engineer Steve Albini, Bognanno settled in Nashville and slowly started compiling personal music while playing with local act King Arthur. In 2013, when the personal archive got too large, she formed the indie-rock group Bully. By 2015 they had an EP and LP under their belt, had steadily toured through the US and Europe and were quickly making a name for themselves with their pop-hooks and grungy sensibility. The crew’s latest release Losing is raw and honest, pretty and powerful. It is full of anthems about growing up, losing innocence and just trying to figure it out. We were lucky enough to get the band in Studio 1A to showcase some of their best stuff. Missed the session? Don’t worry we’ve got you covered, check it out below!
