Carson McHone 9.29.22

Gabriel C. Pérez

Last Thursday, Studio 1A acted as a time machine as Carson McHone transported the audience to Woodstock with her folk-rock ambiance.

Carson McHone’s harmonies with bandmate Julianna Riolino are almost reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie’s iconic female vocals. Her impressive discography includes a self-titled EP in 2013, the Goodluck Man album in 2015, and the Carousel album in 2018. Her rich vocals and country-rock sound caught the attention of Rolling Stone Magazine, naming her as one of the “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know” in 2017.

Carson’s remarkable combination of lyrical talent, warm stage presence, and vocal power create a performance that is always unforgettable! The beautiful culmination of her attention to detail in her lyrics and lavish instrumentals shine through on her new album, Still Life, giving it a vibrant rock and creative country tune akin to a ’70s sound. This album’s eclectic euphony fills the room with poignant tones that are sure to have you jamming out!

Carson McHone is in the early shows of her tour but you can catch her in her recent Studio 1A performance below!
