Catherine Davis has been inspiring Austinites for the past decade with her interdisciplinary music projects that have crossed into television, film, dance and theater. Her 2016 project “The Illusory Impressions Project | An Invitation to Shift” was awarded the Site for Sore Eyes and Ears award as well as nominated for Best Instrumentalist at the Austin Critics Table Awards. Now she is taking her vision to new heights with “Pictures at an Exhibition | RECLAMATION | A Clarification of a New Life”.
The Austin-based composer stopped by Studio 1A ahead of the premiere of the series of visual art and music that’s paying homage to Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky.
