Christina Cavazos can still a room with her voice. Not with shouts or spectacle, just pure, focused emotion. Her songs unfurl naturally into beautiful blooms of delicate melodies and emotive lyrics. The undeniably talented young singer/songwriter has been making waves in Austin since the release of her debut EP, Cold, at the beginning of 2017. In that short time, Cavazos has played most stages in Austin and caught the ear of Austin American Statesman music critic Peter Blackstock. Christina Cavazos stopped by Studio 1A to play a few songs fill us in on her upcoming set for MicroSessions at Mosaic Sound Collective on Saturday, January 27.
