Country musician and honky-tonk renegade Dale Watson has been sharing his melodic tales for the past two decades.
The prolific musician and member of the Austin Music Hall of Fame blends his natural charisma with a nod to the past, creating a combination which has been captivating audiences since his 1995 debut release Cheatin’ Heart Attack. Watson’s outspoken lyrics and commanding baritone direct his classic melodies, telling dance hall stories and producing what’s been succinctly described as a true country sound. Tomorrow, Watson will be releasing his new album Call Me Insane, featuring his band the Lone Stars and the legendary Texas steel guitar player and producer Lloyd Maines. The album is set to include his George Jones tribute “Jonesin’ For Jones,” as well as a cover of Tony Joe White’s “Mamas Don’t Let Your Cowboys Grow Up to Be Babies.”
Dale Watson will be playing Cowboy Harley on June 12th and the Broken Spoke on June 13th. You can also stream his music right here on KUTX.
