Austin-based East Cameron Folkcore is an 11-piece orchestral outfit made up of a blend of punk, country and blues musicians. It’s an eclectic blend of people to say the least, but as you may have guessed from your experience in reading about music, it works. The band plays big, rock-flavored folk music. They haven’t been around for long, but the Austin Chronicle called them one of the top ten Austin acts of 2012, and you’re definitely going to want to look out for them in the future. Their newest album, For Sale, comes out on February 5th.
East Cameron Folkcore will play a CD release show for the new album on February 8th at the Scottish Rite Theatre. Recently, they stopped by KUTX to record a set in Studio 1a. Check it out now!
