Austin-based dream-pop outfit Honeyrude are sweet as honey and impossible to ignore. The band originally formed back in 2013, but Honeyrude didn’t reach their final four-piece line up until 2016, since then they’ve been honing their stage-presence with Cure tributes and working on their own unique sound. Steeped in fuzzy 90’s nostalgia and the tradition of shoe-gaze indie, their music is lovely and loud. Their debut release, The Color Blue, is a fittingly colorful wall of sound; an exploration of personal growth, patience, love and loss. The eponymous lead single is a vulnerable, yet sonically strong, track about waiting for someone you know isn’t coming. The crew brought their stunning sound to Studio 1A ahead of their album release. Check out the full session below!
