Junior Boys 3.22.2016

With an accomplished discography under their belts, Junior Boys do not disappoint with their latest album, Big Black Coat. Hailing from Canada, Junior Boys is made up of Jeremy Greenspan and Matt Didemus. Junior Boys music hints at 80’s pop-techno (think Tears for Fears) however, Greenspan credits Neil Young and Crazy Horse as a major influence on their eclectic lyricism. Combining romantically haunting lyrics, dream pop house music, precise percussion and the aforementioned hypnotizing synth playing, Junior Boys put together an album that engulfs listeners with their own flavor of intoxicating electronica.

The Junior Boys stopped by Studio 1A and put on a performance by playing some of their music off their latest album. If you weren’t able to hear them live, don’t fret, you can stream their studio session here, on KUTX.
