We love when Latasha Lee comes into our studio and blows us away with her massive voice and super-star presence; luckily for us, that’s exactly what went down Monday February 10 at 2 p.m. For anyone who has yet to hear the sweet, sweet sounds of Latasha Lee and her back up band, The Black Ties, the group will transport you back to the days when soul music thrived. After all, Lee’s greatest influences include the likes of Aretha Franklin, Etta James, and Sam Cooke. Latasha Lee & the Black Ties will also be performing as part of the 2014 MapJam fest, a day-long music festival that brings the Austin Music Map to life. The show will be held at Austin’s Tillery Park from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on February 15.
