Artist and musician Lee Barber offers a poetic glimpse into the everyday.
Baton Rouge-native Lee Barber’s music has been described as “zen blues,” an affecting form of blues-tinged rock comprised of melodically driven musings that highlight his vocals and electric guitar. After the split of his band the Barbers, the now Austin-based musician began releasing solo material, leading to the release of his highly successful 2009 solo debut Thief and Rescue. Barber’s new album, The Missing Pages, was released yesterday and is a collection of slow burning rock songs about longing and desire produced by Brian Beattie (Okkervil River, Bill Callahan, Daniel Johnston).
