Motopony @ KUTX 12.17.14

The strange juxtaposition that is Motopony still manifests itself as a peaceful and productive coexistence.

Formed in 2009, the Washington six-piece has found a comfortable middle ground somewhere between indie pop, hard soul, and glitch-folk. With the depth of lead singer Daniel Blue’s songwriting and Buddy Ross’s tempered arrangements, Motopony forges an intriguing and undeniably stimulating sound. This past September Motopony followed up their eponymous debut with the Idle Beauty EP. Blue describes Idle Beauty as a “season of transformation” and a testament to what the group has been through as well as the collective power and synergy of each member’s input.

You can catch Motopony on Wednesday, December 17th at the Mohawk or you can stream them right here at KUTX!
