Peter Case at KUTX 11.8.13

Peter Case’s long and illustrious musical career certainly does not lack variety. The singer/songwriter led and/or played in a number of bands, including The Plimsouls and The Nerves, and his solo work explores just about every genre of music in existence, including blues, rock ‘n roll, country, folk, soul, and r&b. Case dropped out of high school after 9th grade and went on to lead the band The Plimsouls in the 80s, who released hit single “A Million Miles Away” shortly before breaking up. Case’s solo career proved to be even more successful – he was nominated for three Grammy awards, and his debut solo album was named New York Times’ Album of the Year. The release of his 2006 memoir As Far As You Can Get Without A Passport did not signal the end of his career in any way, and he has since released three albums.

Start your weekend right and check out Case’s live performance in our studio from this Friday. Take a listen right here! You can also catch him perform at the Cactus Café this Friday evening.
