While Queue Queue the band may be a bit of a newcomer to the Austin music scene the three women who make it up have some serious local music bonafides. Drummer/vocalist Mary Streepy hails from electronic performance art band, The Buglies, guitarist/vocalist Carrie Clark is a founding member of the Austin Music Awards winning Sixteen Deluxe, while bassist Claire Hamilton spent time with chillwave/dream pop band, Paraguay. Unsurprisingly, Queue Queue sounds like a combination of all of these groups. A kind of multi-faceted pop music that pulls in elements of psychedelia, garage rock, and punk. Take a listen to this heady concoction from their recent visit to Studio 1A and make plans to catch them at The ABGB on Saturday, December 16.
