Watch Redbud in Studio 1A
Redbud is new to the Austin scene, striking while the opportunity rod is hot. The bright, indie-pop quartet started with frontperson and lead songwriter Katie Claghorn. Claghorn, who grew up in a musical household, dabbled with several instruments, but made the guitar her primary instrument during the pandemic. The four members of Redbud gel in an intoxicating and seemingly effortless fashion, radiating joy and energy onstage. Redbud is an official artist of this year’s SXSW Festival in March. Before that, Redbud celebrates the February 24th release of their debut album with a free 4pm show at End of an Ear Records, and their official release show that night at the Ballroom (presented by Resound).
