Known as one of the eccentric fathers of alternative folk, English singer-songwriter Robyn Hitchcock has been an ongoing musical presence for decades.
At the helm of an impressive career that began by fronting punk outfit the Soft Boys before going solo in the 1980’s, Robyn Hitchcock has been releasing his honest and strange brand of non-traditional folk for years. His music continues to resonate with vitality and cheek, as he compassionately contemplates life, death, and the passage of time in his songs. His 2014 release and 20th solo album to date, The Man Upstairs was a collection of original songs and covers that were produced by Joe Boyd, a much anticipated collaboration for both.
