Rosie Flores calls herself “The Rockabilly Filly” and we really can’t think of a better nickname. Originally from San Antonio, Rosie Flores got her start in music while a teenager growing up in Southern California. It was there that Flores discovered Rockabilly culture, cars, and most importantly, the music. A string of high school bands eventually led her to a debut solo record in 1987 with a single that made it to the Billboard charts. Now a proud Austinite with 10 solo records to her name and Rosie Flores stokes the Rockabilly flame this weekend at the Stomp N’ Holler BBQ & Music Fest in Taylor, TX. Before taking the stage in Taylor, Rosie Flores stopped by the studio to play us some choice tunes. Enjoy!
