Singer-songwriter Steve Poltz doesn’t consider himself normal. His website quips that “you would basically require the powers of the Hubble space telescope to locate Steve Poltz from any region of normalcy.” But weirdness works for him, giving a magnetic energy that attracts his cult following. That energy combined with his songwriting style of simple melodies and satirical lyrics make for an incredibly fun combination. Poltz previously played as a part of cult band The Rugburns and worked closely with Jewel, co-writing her chart-topping hit “You Were Meant For Me.”
