We were lucky enough to welcome The Deer for a Studio 1A after-hours session. Grace Rowland, Michael McLead, Jesse Dalton, Alan Eckert, and Noah Jeffries make up the Austin folk group with a hint of psychedelic flair. The group has grown together since the release of their first album in 2012. They’ve allowed themselves to be inspired by different creative elements and the result is a sound transcendent of tradition yet rooted in the folk music that brought the group together in the first place. KUTX’s Taylor Wallace chatted with the group in anticipation of their new Album Do No Harm, out November 1st. Their album release show is this Friday, Oct. 18th, at Antone’s. Listen to their live performance and interview below!
