The Derailers at KUTX 4.17.13

The Derailers

Since they came together in 1994, Austin band The Derailers have set out to create the most dance-able country music possible. And so far, so good. The band has changed since its first version, with new members swapping out with old, but the heart of the band remains the same: making great music. While clear inspiration from country acts such as Buck Owens and the Buckaroos can be found in The Derailers’ music, the band also claims some inspiration from 60s pop-rock bands such as The Beatles and The Beach Boys. One thing is for sure: their music is great to dance to.

On Saturday, The Derailers will play a show at the Broken Spoke. Before the show they stopped by Studio 1A to play live on KUTX. Check it!
