Ama: “Mainline”

Fronted by visual artist and songwriter Blair Robbins (formerly of Milezo and Rain Collectors), local four-piece Ama’s sound wanders across the rock & roll spectrum, migrating from pop melodies to distortion-heavy riffs and country swing all in the same set. Ama previewed their upcoming debut EP Losing Less with the release of the extremely catchy ’90s-pop-rock-influenced title track last winter. The latest offering from Losing Less is their second single, “Mainline.” Sonically a far cry from their first single, “Mainline” swaps the distortion pedal out for harmony-laden countermelodies and mellows out for a light but undeniable head-bobbing groove. Losing Less is slated for release early this summer.

You can catch Ama tonight at Spiderhouse Ballroom and you can download “Mainline” right here on KUTX.
