Holy Wave: “i’m DADA” [Live In Studio 1A]

Lorianne Willett

Austin group Holy Wave are back with a brand new bag. On their seventh album, i’m DADA, the group’s adopted more rhythm and deliberate structure to thread into their hypnotic, hazy soundscapes. Recorded in Ensenada, Mexico, the album “reflects conversations about fatherhood and partnership, breakups and estrangement, the queasy acceleration of AI, and what it means to remain present and principled while the world lurches unpredictably forward.” Holy Wave treated us to the full DADA-luge in Studio 1A.

i’m DADA is out now on Suicide Squeeze Records. Holy Wave plays 29th St. Ballroom on August 21st.
