Austin artist Katherion is proving she has what it takes to stand out with “Bad for Me,” a track from her debut album EROS. This softly haunting indie-pop song explores the tension of being in a relationship you know isn’t good for you. By focusing on feeling rather than specificity, the lyrics invite listeners to engage with the song through multiple lenses, reflecting both everyday human relationships and our connection to the divine. Katherion taps into a higher vibration when creating her music, encouraging it to be understood on both a micro and macro level. This idea is personified through her airy, textured ethereal sound while still grounded with its pop structure.
Katherion plays a show this Friday at the Cactus Cafe. The EROS listening party is on February 6th @ BLK Vinyl at 7PM.
