Today’s Song of the Day is a special post-punk treat from our November AOTM, Never. Rounded out with members of other local bands like Nuclear Daisies, Thelma & the Sleaze, and our past AOTM Luna Luna, the five piece promises nothing more than buzzing melodies and the ancient art of tapping into the type of angst-ridden sincerity of alternative rock. Landing in a sweet spot somewhere on the scale between Parquet Courts and Momma, it’s not hard to get lost in their catchy, slow burning, and head swaying motives that make “Tragic”.
Alongside “Tragic”, they just released their debut EP No Guarantee with FSG Records, tied up a Texas mini-tour, and the band’s front-woman, Emily Ng, is back in the studio working on another full length album.
