#1 – Alicia Keys Major debut correction!

  • Previously, Confucious said Alicia Keys’ major label debut was on the Men In Black Soundtrack (an all-time classic), however, her debut was actually in 1996 (great year) with a recording of “Little Drummer Boy” on a So So Def Christmas compilation.
  • It’s okay to admit you’re wrong, ya’ll.

# 2 After over twenty years of speculation, it has been confirmed. Big L was shot and killed only a few days before he was about to be signed to Rock-A-Fella records.

  • Big L rest in peace.

# 3 Rember ustream.tv? That’s where Frank Ocean’s debuted his first mixtape.

  • And it was on a stream with Ciara! Wonder how she feels about his come up…

# 4 – After working on a record with P. Diddy, Talib Kweli says Puff paid him with a pair of Sean John shoes.

  • Money would have been good too…

# 5 – Memphitz signed T. Pain and Chris Brown were signed on the exact same day.

  • It was a good day for Jive Records A&R team.

# 6 – In Pain in Full (2002) Cam’ron legit punched that man in the mouth

  • You can see where they had to stop the take. Props to the editor’s smooth jump cut.
  • Hopefully he got a bonus.
