KUTX Artist of the Month, The Well, dropped by Studio 1A to give us an inside look at their forthcoming album, “Death and Consolation”. The band cites influences of post-punk on this record, specifically bands like Joy Division and The Cure. The album might be their darkest yet, having tuned their guitars down to C-standard to give it that loud, dark edge. Guitarist and vocalist Ian Graham says that “this one is a little more personal”, citing the “strange, dark year” that 2018 was. Once again, they recruited producer Chico Jones from Estuary Studio to engineer the album. Needless to say, it’s raw, and it rocks. Scroll down to hear the exclusive session in Studio 1A!
