It’s always an adventure with Austin-based band Berkshire Hounds. For the most part, they don’t bother with complicated descriptions of the music they make. Your humble Austin Music Minute hostess has heard a variety of things, from “slacker rock” to “garage brass” to…those things the band might joke about that I can’t put here, but it’s all good. You get rock, punk, and sweet doses of melodic, groove-heavy riffs that rip, with a bit of pop sneaking in there to amp it up. Say yes to it all.
Make sure you see Berkshire Hounds tonight at The Sahara Lounge, 1413 Webberville Rd. The evening kicks off at 8 p.m. with roots/Americana artist Eric Hisaw, rock trio Chancellor at 9 p.m., the B-Hounds at 10 p.m., and surf/garage monsters Little Big Man at 11 p.m. Don’t miss out. Recommended.
