Although it first made its name as a hippie country hub, Austin’s long since proved that genre-wise, it sure ain’t a one-trick pony. Now that being said, if there’s one Texas stereotype the Live Music Capital does perpetuate – it’s that you can find a great place to two-step any given night of the week.
Austin Monthly Executive Editor Bryan C. Parker knows this all too well, which is why he created Honky Tonk Fest, happening Saturday, November 8th at Jester King Brewery. For his first stint as a KUTX guest DJ, Parker guides us through the fest’s line-dance-ready lineup alongside some honky tonk heroes and country western legends.
