My KUTX: Leopold & His Fiction

Austin’s Daniel Leopold is soft-spoken in person, but onstage, he easily shows off his Detroit roots. Leopold & His Fiction is Motor City through-and-through, and on its new album Darling Destroyer, the band sounds like a combination of Leopold’s twin influences: Iggy Pop mania and Stevie Wonder soul. This week on My KUTX, Leopold shifts easily between these two poles as our guest DJ, cuing up sweet soul hits before revving his rock and roll engine. Tune into his guest DJ set on Saturday, January 28 at 6 p.m. or listen anytime at the bottom of the page.
