Maggie Phillips (Live At ATX TV Festival)

My KUTX // June 17, 2023

This week on My KUTX, we’re presenting a guest DJ set recorded live a few weeks ago at the ATX TV Festival. Our Austin-based guest, Maggie Phillips, is certainly no stranger to television. In her work as a music supervisor, she’s overseen soundtracks for such hit TV shows as Fargo, The Great, Our Flag Means Death, and many, many more. Her shows can be seen on Netflix, Hulu, AppleTV, and HBO Max. Recently her music choices were featured at the Sundance Film Festival in Raven Jackson’s highly acclaimed film All Dirt Roads Taste Of Salt. And upcoming, you can hear Maggie’s work in the miniseries All The Light We Cannot See, Sam Esmail’s highly anticipated psychological thriller Leave The World Behind, and more.

Live at the ATX TV Fest, Maggie talked about making playlists for characters, how soundtracks influenced her as a kid, and played an hour of her favorite songs she’s featured in shows. Hear My KUTX on Saturday, June 17 at 6 p.m. or listen anytime right here.
