Not only is she the mother of a musician–Henry Mowgli, frontman for Popular Culture–she’s also a longtime cheerleader for Austin’s music community. Gillespie is also an accomplished writer and the author of eight books. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Texas Monthly, and more, and her latest book is Sit. Stay.
