On April 20th, Cumbiadélica Festival takes over Hotel Vegas, bringing two stages’ worth of cumbia bands, DJs, dance lessons, and more. The festival brings together homegrown favorites like Money Chicha and El Combo Oscuro with San Antonio and South Texas artists, all exploring the many branches of the cumbia family tree. This week on My KUTX, festival organizer and El Combo Oscuro guitarist John Dell is our guest DJ, playing psychedelic, traditional, and hip-hop cumbia varieties. Hear My KUTX on Saturday, April 13th at 6 p.m. or listen anytime right here.
