Adam Torres 2.23.17

Listening to Adam Torres is a visceral experience. Like taking an early morning walk down a quiet forest trail with sunlight peeking through the leaves. Adam’s ethereal guitar swirls around his pure falsetto while expertly applied strings, percussion, and woodwinds, add subtle nuances and textures to his incredibly poignant brand of folk music. For example, his song “I Came to Sing the Song” begins so quietly and simply it almost evokes Eastern religious music, drawing the listener into a receptive state before unfolding into a broader awareness of music, love, and natural beauty. If painting with music were a thing, Adam Torres would be a master.

Adam Torres dropped by the studio with Thor Harris on vibraphone, Daily Toliver on bass, Elizabeth Warren on violin and flutist Lauren Gould to talk about and play music from his new EP before he took it the Cactus Cafe for an exclusive release show.
