Benko’s bright and poppy compositions put an unlikely instrument front and center. The vibraphone, played by Sarah Norris, gives this local trio a sunny California sound. Benko also features Charlie Ewing on drums and Erik Grostic on bass. They will bring their percussively pinging melodies to The Hole in the Wall on Friday night to celebrate the release of their latest LP The Civil Service.
