Jeremiah Jackson, the curly-haired, sequin clad, glam-rocker burst into Studio 1A on Thursday to premiere his newest single “Awake” for KUTX listeners. Originally from Longview, Texas, Jackson relocated to Austin a year ago to take advantage of the thriving local music scene- when he’s not playing in his solo project you can see him jamming with other local Austin acts Knifight and The Scott Collins Project. In the studio he plays a few new songs for us, talks musical influences ranging from David Bowie to The Strokes and questions the most recent season of Game of Thrones. For more face melting, you can check out his single release show with The Ghost Wolves, this Saturday May 18th at ABGB for free.
