We first met Will Maxwell as a KUTX intern a few years ago and now he’s returned to share some new music off his upcoming album, Calm a Painter and Subject. After honing the new music at regular gigs at the legendary Hole In The Wall, Will turned to Austin based producer Spencer Garland (PR Newman, Black Pumas & Berkshire Hounds) to turn them into an album. The product is a collection of acoustic gems that showcase Maxwell’s talent as a thoughtful songwriter. Sample some of the new music with this live session we captured in Studio 1A before his record release party at Hole in the Wall on July 12th.
