My KUTX: Colin Gilmore

Colin Gilmore is the son of Jimmie Dale Gilmore, and as they say, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Colin is a singer-songwriter too, raised in Lubbock but based here in Austin. He has a country sound, but punk rock was a big influence on him, as you can tell by his guest DJ set.

You can catch Colin at a few upcoming shows: he’s playing the Iron Cactus North on December 13, and on December 21, he’s at Strange Brew playing the “Family Holiday Bash,” featuring Colin and his dad, Jon Dee and William Harries Graham, James and Curtis McMurtry, and more. Listen to Colin’s guest DJ set below his playlist.
