On June 24th, Pride In Local Music Fest returns, celebrating Austin’s queer music community. Put on by the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce, this year the Fest focuses on a block party on 4th Street between Colorado and Lavaca, featuring a pride marketplace and multiple music stages. Artists include Gina Chavez, Primo The Alien, and more.
This week on My KUTX, Julie Nolen is here to offer up a preview of the Fest. In addition to co-booking the lineup with Adrienne Lake, Nolen is also a country singer, a member of the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce, and puts on OUTlaw Pride Festival, the first queer country music festival in Texas. Hear My KUTX on Saturday, June 10 at 6 p.m. or listen anytime here.
