Seduced By Sound Austin is a book that celebrates the past, present, and future of Austin music. Carley Wolf–singer and guitarist for locals the Ghost Wolves–teamed up with Kim Gorsuch, who heads the publishing platform Weeva. Together, they interviewed one hundred Austin musicians, including Adrian Quesada, Alejandro Escovedo, Sabrina Ellis of Sweet Spirit and A Giant Dog, Dana Falconberry, and more, focusing on why they make music, their inspirations, and their advice for up-and-comers.
Part of the proceeds of the book go towards HAAM, and they’re celebrating with a release party at the ABGB on Tuesday, December 6. And this week on My KUTX, Carley and Kim help launch the book with an Austin-centric guest DJ set made up of some of the book’s featured artists. Tune in Saturday, December 3 at 6 p.m. or listen anytime at the bottom of the page.
